Deep Groove Ball Bearings

deep grooveDeep groove ball bearings are the most popular type among ball bearings, widely used in a variety of industries. UBC deep groove ball bearings are the workhorse of its family of bearings. Designed to deliver optimum value and reliability, these bearings are produced with careful selection of its steel raw materials, heat treatment processing, précised and efficient forging, turning and grinding processes all managed at exacting standards to produce cost- effective inner and outer races with deep groove raceways. These dependable races are then matched with steel balls and retainers to achieve the right clearance/noise level requirements.

Lubricants and seals are also thoroughly chosen to optimize service life and reduce maintenance cost of the bearings.

UBC's deep groove ball bearings are available in open and closed-sealed variants. They also come in miniature, slim and wide series with steel, brass or polyamide retainers.

UBC's deep groove ball bearings are largely used in a wide range of industry applications including textile machines, power tools, wood working machines and automotive transmissions among others.

Angular Contact Ball Bearings

angular contactAngular contact ball bearings have a contact angle; they are designed to sustain significant combined axial and radial load simultaneously. Its axial load carrying capacity increases with respect to the bearing's contact angle. The contact angle (∝) is defined as the angle between the line contacting the raceway and ball.

Matched angular contact ball bearings such as Back-to-back (DB), Face-to-face (DF) arrangements are also available for usage in applications where radial and axial loads in both directions can be sustained. Regarding the tandem arrangement (DT), please contact UBC Technical Support.

UBC's angular contact ball bearings are designed with brass solid or glass-fiber reinforced nylon cage options. The bearings are available in open and sealed versions as well. For special applications where the bearing rigidity factor is of top-most consideration, rigidity requirements can be customized accordingly for reinforced bearing structure.

UBC's angular contact ball bearings are used in high-accuracy and high-speed operating machineries such as machine tool spindles, high-frequency motors, hydraulic pumps, transmissions and printing equipments.

Self-aligning Ball Bearings

Self-aligning-Ball-BearingsSelf-aligning ball bearings have two rows of balls and a spherical raceway in their outer ring. They are particularly designed to accommodate misalignment on shaft or housing, making this type  of ball bearing best suitable for applications where shaft deflection or misaligned mounting conditions are expected to occur.

UBC's self-aligning ball bearings undergo highly-advanced manufacturing processes that enable it to consistently maintain precise contour raceway measurement. Our newly sourced raw materials have significantly improved gliding motion at the point of contact between the bearing's diameter and slinger. Furthermore, load-carrying capacity has increased by 30% and lifespan is now three times as long, with noise and vibration levels significantly decreased with improved manufacturing capacities.

UBC's self-aligning ball bearings are largely used in light to medium belt conveyors and wood working machineries. In some cases, they can also be found in high-speed machineries such as spinning machines.

Cylindrical Roller Bearings

Cylindrical-Roller-BearingsCylindrical roller bearings are designed to have heavy radial load- carrying capacity; rolling elements are ground to provide maximum contact with the raceway and are precisely crowned to avoid edge loading due to any shaft misalignments. These bearings are commonly separable and easy to mount and dismount.

UBC's cylindrical roller bearings are classified into single row, double row and multi-row cylindrical roller bearings. We also have bearings with cage and full compliment assembly. Cylindrical roller bearings with cage have high radial load carrying capacity, operating at high speed. Full compliment cylindrical roller bearings can accommodate even higher radial loads, but at low and moderate speed.

UBC's single row cylindrical roller bearings come in N, NJ, NU, NUP designs. Regarding double row and multi-row assemblies, please contact UBC Technical Support.

UBC's cylindrical roller bearings have been proven to have strong and consistent performance in the following applications: traction motors, electric motors, pumps and compressors, gear drives and speed reducers, construction equipments, table rollers for steel mills, paper making equipments and other heavy industrial machineries.

Needle Roller Bearings

Needle-Roller-BearingsNeedle roller bearings are roller bearings with slender cylindrical rollers. These bearings are designed for applications where radial space is limited but high radial load carrying capacity is required.

Needle roller bearings have numerous types available and many have no inner rings. The 'drawn-cup' type has a pressed steel cage outer ring while the 'solid' type has a machined outer ring. There are also cage and roller assemblies without rings.

UBC's needle roller bearings designs include:

  • Drawn Cup Needle Roller Bearings
  • Solid Cup Needle Roller Bearings
  • Cage and Needle Roller Assemblies
  • Inner rings for Needle Roller Bearings
  • Cam and Roller Followers
  • Needle Rollers
  • Needle Roller Thrust Bearings
  • Combined Needle Roller Bearings

UBC's needle roller bearings are largely suitable for automotive transmissions, air-conditioner compressors, bulldozer blades, overhead traveling cranes, gearboxes, machine tool spindles, copying machines and many more.

Tapered Roller Bearings

Tapered-Roller-BearingsTapered roller bearings are roller bearings with conical rollers. These bearings are designed to support heavy radial loads and heavy thrust loads in one direction. Tapered roller bearings are generally separable; for example, the cone, consisting of the inner ring with roller assembly, can be mounted separately from the cup (outer ring). Both 'metric' and 'inch' tapers are offered; the only difference being the dimensions of the measure for the bearings.

UBC's tapered roller bearings are divided into three types depending on the contact angle. Double row and multi-row tapered roller bearings are also available. Pressed steel and pin-type cages are generally the most commonly used. Regarding UBC tapered roller bearing units CARTRIDGE, please contact UBC Technical Support.

UBC's tapered roller bearings are widely used in gear drives and reducers, automotive front and rear axles, guide box in bar and rod mills, conveyor and transfer equipments and many more.

Spherical Roller Bearings

Spherical-Roller-BearingsSpherical roller bearings are double row self-aligning bearings capable of carrying heavy radial loads combined with light-moderate thrust loads in either direction.  Spherical roller bearings are extremely resistant to heavy impact loads and their self-aligning feature allows full capacity loading despite shaft bending and alignment errors of the shaft relative to the housing.

UBC's spherical roller bearings retainers generally come in pressed steel, solid brass. Annular groove and lubrication holes can also be provided on the center of outer ring.

UBC's spherical roller bearings are mainly used in paper-making equipments, metal-making equipments, continuous casters, shaker screens, gears, drives and speed reducers, mining equipments, oil field equipments and other heavy industrial machineries.

Thrust Ball Bearings

Thrust-Ball-BearingsThrust ball bearings are designed to accommodate thrust loads while operating at moderate to high speeds.  These bearings are composed of "washer-like" bearing rings with raceway grooves for the balls.  Double direction thrust ball bearings can handle axial loads in both directions.

UBC’s thrust ball bearings generally used pressed steel cage in the smaller-sized bearing and machined cage in the larger sizes.

UBC’s thrust ball bearings are largely used in machine tool spindle stocks, vertical openers, screw jacks, automotive and light-medium industrial equipments.

Spherical Roller Thrust Bearings

Spherical-Roller-Thrust-BearingsSpherical roller thrust bearings are like cylindrical roller thrust bearings but with self-aligning capability. Spherical thrust roller bearings have spherical raceway in the housing washer and asymmetrical rollers obliquely assembled around it. The rings and the housing washer can be separately mounted as well.

UBC's spherical roller thrust bearings support very heavy axial loads and are also capable of taking moderate radial loads when an axial load is imposed.

UBC's spherical thrust roller bearings are widely used in high-speed operations such as power plant air pre-heaters, coal pulverizers, hydroelectric generators and molding machines.

Ball Bearing Units

Ball-Bearing-UnitsBall bearing units are composed of a double sealed ball bearing installed in a special housing. The spherical fit of the outside diamater of the insert bearing and the inside diamater of the housing accomodates misalignments.

UBC ball bearing units come in a wide variety of configurations.  Set screw type pillow blocks cast housing and set screw type flange units cast housing are commonly available. Stainless Steel Series bearing units are corrosion resistant and has high-lubrication retention property. Plastic Series bearing units are resistant to water and chemicals as well as corrosion too. Steel Series bearing unit are tough bearing housings with superior mechanical strength. Finally, Ductile Series bearing units are tough bearing housings that are light and more compact than the Steel Series.

UBC ball bearing units are used in almost all industrial machinery applications.
